Using Narrative to Engage the Community:

The Cambridge City Manager Search

Project Brief: While working as the Legislative Aide to the Vice Mayor, who served as the head of the search, I prepared a digital job description, wrote copy for and managed two dedicated webpages, produced social content, and developed and implemented two separate communications strategies for the City of Cambridge as well as the Vice Mayor’s office. Dynamic community engagement and education was our #1 priority. Narrative brought our community together, and as a result we were able to garner over 4,000 unique pieces of feedback on our coUrbanize site, 20+ hours of focus group conversations on Fora, and attract 200+ attendees at Town Halls.
